Membership

CSAR membership benefits include access to:

• 12 lectures (in-person and/or via Zoom) per year
• complimentary wine, tea, coffee and biscuits at the lectures
• 2-3 visits per year to organisations at the cutting edge of applied research (for which there is a supplementary charge of £10 per visit). Individual and family members have priority when booking visits.

Membership runs for 1 year from the payment date.

Membership fees

• Individual membership (£25 per year)
• Family membership (£35 per year)
• Business or institution (£150 per year). Your members can attend lectures free of charge.
• Concession (£10 per year): low-income, undergraduate and postgraduate students, recent PhD (within 2 years)
• Secondary school pupil or teacher (£0). Please see Schools.

You can also join as a Pay-As-You-Go member, and receive email notification of our lectures:

• PAYG (£0). There is a charge per event, payable in advance or on the door (£5 or £3 concession).

Viewing lectures on Zoom is free for all members.

Join CSAR online. Payment options: Card, PayPal, bank transfer (cheque or cash as a last resort only, please!)

Individual members have one vote at the AGM, Family members have two, Business members have one.

If you are a UK taxpayer who has an individual or family subscription, we would be very grateful if you would complete a Gift Aid form. This will allow us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give.

If you wish to change membership category before it expires - for instance, to switch from Pay-As-You-Go to an individual subscription - please email marketing@csar.org.uk from the email address that we hold for you, and we can arrange for this to happen.
